On this episode we had planned to have fun and celebrate our 100th episode, but we decided to recognize the events of the week.
In what has become an all too common occurance, this week another unarmed Black Man lost his life in an encounter with a law enforcement officer. The life and death of Brothers like Mike Brown, Sean Bell, Aaron Campbell, Eric Garner, and others, highlight the consistant threat that exist for the Men of Color. But this event had additional complexities with the responce of the city police and flashback images of the Civil Rights Era. We discuss the various aspects of these events.
We look at police action against People of Color, the militarization of local police, media coverage of the events, and we talk about solutions.
